Abstract The situation-dependent lateralization of sympathetic electrodermal arousal during real-life stress (Picard, Fedor, & Ayzenberg, 2014) may challenge a unitary notion of arousal, and call into question on the practice of unilateral electrodermal recording, but there are broader implications.
